As part of an ongoing review of all aspects of our day to day running, we have put in to place a number of procedures to identify potential hazards relating to dealing with faulty equipment both inside and outside our setting.

We do a number of checks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to ensure that the children in our setting are always safe from harm wherever possible. One of those checks is a monthly risk assessment that covers our entire set up and the vehicles we drive. We also do a risk assessment on outings that we undertake on foot, this helps understand all of the potential hazards which may occur in and around our setting. When dealing with any accidents that the children may have while they are within our setting, we will always fill in the accident book and give a copy of the entry to the parent/carer of the child it relates to.
