As a registered childminder, we will request for personal information about the children in our care, their families and their social circumstances. Parents will be made aware of and have access to all records that we keep about their children and why. Such information may give a greater understanding of a child’s needs and enable us to provide a better quality of care.
We will not discuss your child with others unless we have permission from you, for example, taking your baby to be weighted by the health visitor. However, we will disclose confidential information to social services and to Ofsted if we have any concerns that your child is being abused. Please see our child protection policy.
