Mantle Kidz,s aim is to work towards a situation in which children can develop self‐ discipline and self‐esteem in an atmosphere of mutual respect and encouragement.

In cases of serious misbehaviour, such as racial or other abuse, the unacceptability of the behaviour and the attitudes will be made clear immediately, but by the means of explanations rather than personal blame. In any case of misbehaviour, this will always be made clear to the child in question why the behaviour that is unacceptable. This does not imply that the child is not welcome. When children behave in unacceptable ways, physical punishment such as smacking or shaking will never be used nor threatened, we never force or humiliate/frighten a child, we do not shout or raise our voices in a threatening way.

We will physically intervene and possibly restrain a child to prevent an accident, such as running into the road or to prevent an injury/damage. From time to time children will have difficulty learning to deal with their emotions and feelings, this is a normal part of child development. We will acknowledge these feelings and try to help children to find constructive solutions in liaison with their parents.
